Viv & Edie (www.VivandEdie.com) is a fashion accessories company specializing in custom luxury handbags handmade by artist Laura J Shape. Laura's accessories have been featured in Latina magazine, Yoga Journal, 5280, Dayspa, and Denver Life. In her previous career, she worked as a graphic designer in Los Angeles, designing for several internet startups as well as Apple, Paramount Pictures, Wells Fargo Bank, DirecTV and the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. 

The child of an artist and an engineer, Laura loves working with her hands, creating and building things that are both functional and beautiful. She majored in communications design at Rochester Institute of Technology, and has furthered her education with intensive workshops in several media, including leathercraft and goldsmithing. She sees her bags and accessories as sculptures and loves incorporating different artmaking techniques into their creation. She currently lives and works in sunny Denver, Colorado, but dreams of someday moving back to the beach.
